Valley Caregiver Resource Center and Senior Medicare Patrol are hosting a free Drive Thru Shredding Event for Seniors & Caregivers. Bring documents with personal identifiable information such as old bank statements, bills, old tax returns and outdated Medicare documents to be shredded safely. This event will take place in the Valley Caregiver Resource Center parking lot.
Dr. Teenie Matlock, Professor Emerita of Cognitive Science at UC Merced and a member of Fresno Community Concert Band's trumpet section, explores how sound and meaning intertwine. Featured works include movements from Gustav Holst’s The Planets and John Philip Sousa’s Hands Across the Sea.
Several community members will be recognized for their environmental stewardship. Keynote speaker will be photographer Robert Groos on "How Watching Birds Saved my Sanity but Drove Me Crazy." Join in the hunt as Robert recounts incredible moments in the life history of several individual birds, accompanied by exquisite photos. Bring your potluck item ready to serve with serving utensil.
