Writers of Kern is now accepting applications for its inaugural Student Scholarship Program. October gets exciting with three new exhibitions at Arts Visalia. The main gallery showcases the vibrant cultural paintings of Arturo Martinez. Also featured will be tactile ceramic work by Tim Clark and abstract oil pastels by Jamie Meadows. See all three artists and more October 1 – 31, 2026. An Opening Reception will take place Friday, October 2, 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

Get ready for an unforgettable day in the skies at the 2nd Annual Wings Over the Westside Airshow in Coalinga. Experience high-flying excitement, incredible aerial performances, and nonstop family fun right here on the Westside.

Visitors will be able to tour the facility, view wildlife in their native habitat, and learn about these fascinating animals' habits and personal stories at Critter Creek's Fall Open House. The open house is self guided allowing guests to go at their own pace, and enjoy the animals and take photographs. Volunteers will be stationed along the trail to answer any questions about the animals. The gift shop will be open during the event and has many unique items.
