Born and raised in Madera, Phil Medina rose from lifelong class clown to nationally recognized stand-up comedian after taking a leap of faith in 2008 that quickly placed him on legendary stages including The Ice House, The Laugh Factory, and The Hollywood Improv. Since then, Phil has won multiple comedy competitions, headlined comedy clubs coast to coast, and become the national voice of Hungry Howie’s Pizza commercials.

This festival is a massive collaboration of 15 dance studios and local musicians joining forces for suicide awareness. From performers as young as five to those with a lifetime of experience, the stage will be filled with people of all physical and mental abilities. This event highlights 24 performances that prove all are capable of being heard, helped, and loved.

In this free workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own short film for the Fresno Sweded Film Festival (Swede Fest), including picking a movie, creating a production plan, gathering props and cast with what you have, and filming and editing using accessible tools.
