The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting the Bakersfield community to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Kern County Museum. Registration begins at 8 a.m., the Opening Ceremony begins at 9 a.m., and the Walk starts at 9:30 a.m.
Join Fresno Filmworks for an unforgettable evening celebrating the power of horror cinema. Experience a curated lineup of films that explore fear, defiance, and the resilience of the human spirit. There will be vendors, refreshments and snacks, and a food truck.
The night’s lineup will feature supermoto racing, a dirt modified exhibition on asphalt, enduro racers, skid plate racers, figure-8 racers, drag-a-boat demolition racers, the jet car burndown, a destruction display from The Mayhem Machine demolition vehicle, and a fireworks finale to close out the night.
Come enjoy contra and square dance with live music and dance caller. All dances taught. Beginners at 6 pm please.

Local filmmaker, professional videographer, and owner of MakeLine Productions Meng Lee returns to CMAC to share his expertise in the art of cinematic lighting. In this workshop, Meng will dive into how to use dynamic lighting techniques for film and documentary-style productions.
