Oct. 13: Short-Term Rentals Are Driving Frustration At This Popular Sierra Getaway

People come from all over the world to visit the Sierra Nevada mountains. And one popular destination is the town of Three Rivers. It’s considered the gateway to Sequoia and King Canyon National Parks. However, a proliferation of short-term rentals there has cast a cloud of frustration over the town. Sam Muahay-Moore covers national parks for the SF Gate and explains why the town is fed up with the rentals.

A Valley native, Elizabeth earned her bachelor's degree in English Language Literatures from the University of California, Santa Cruz and her master's degree in journalism from New York University. She has covered a range of beats. Her agriculture reporting for the Turlock Journal earned her a first place award from the California Newspaper Publishers Association.
Jonathan Linden is a podcast producer at KVPR. Born and raised in Riverside, he's a Southern California native.
