The Great Valley Gathering is a free, three-day folklife festival celebrating culture bearers and the rich cultural diversity of California’s Central Valley. Hosted by the Alliance for California Traditional Arts (ACTA) and co-presented with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, the Great Valley Gathering invites all ages to experience the traditions, stories, music, dance, foodways, craftsmanship and community expressions that make the Central Valley unique.

Brynn Saito is the author of three poetry collections, including Under a Future Sky (Red Hen Press, 2023). She co-edited with Brandon Shimoda The Gate of Memory: Poems by Descendants of Nikkei Wartime Incarceration (Haymarket Books, 2025) and her work has appeared in the New York Times, VOGUE, and American Poetry Review. Brynn teaches in the English department at Fresno State. The evening will also feature live music with Scats on the Sly, so bring your dinner, lawn chair or blanket.

Twisted Gypsy is professionally produced, features world-class touring musicians, gorgeous hand-crafted vintage costumes, live vocals (no tracks) and fun stage banter which captures the unique synergy of the original Fleetwood Mac members.
