Writers of Kern is now accepting applications for its inaugural Student Scholarship Program. Two scholarships will be awarded to Kern County high school, college, and re-entry students enrolled in an English, Literature, or Writing class at any public or private educational institution in Kern County.

This exclusive event offers free-walking access to the trail, where guests can see tigers, lions, jaguars, and more in the beauty of twilight. Also enjoy a guided Enrichment Tour led by zookeepers, a BBQ dinner, and a silent auction featuring unique items and experiences. Must be 16+.

Jason Feddy was born and raised in Leeds, 30 miles north of Joe Cocker’s hometown of Sheffield. He has worked as a singer/songwriter and guitarist ever since his school days.
