Hunger in the Valley
Scott Anger

This week on Valley Edition we take a look at the issues of water, hunger, prisons and the effects of repetitive hits form football. Beginning the show, Valley Edition Host Joe Moore speaks with Assembly Member Henry T. Perea about the issue of water across the state.

Later in the program, KQED Radio's Central Valley Bureau Chief for the California Report Sasha Khokha reports on Hunger in the region by exploring the issue in the small town of Raisin City.

Ending the program, Moore explores the issue of sports related head injuries with Brenna Hughes a speech-language pathologist at Community Regional Medical Center. Steve Johnson, a Valley teacher who suffered multiple concussions in his life, joins the conversation. He discusses how the repetitive hits he sustained playing football have altered his life.
