This week on Valley Edition FM89 reporter goes on a boating trip on Pine Flat Lake to find out how the El Nino and the aftermath of the Rough Fire could increase debris and sediment flows in the lake. We also here from KVPR's Jeffrey Hess about medical marijuana laws in the Valley. 

Later in the program we hear from journalist Tessa Stuart about her recent story detailing a ponzi scheme that rocked the Tulare County dairy industry. We also chat with Bakersfield City Manager, Alan Tandy, about oil, budget cuts and more. 

Joe Moore is the President and General Manager of Valley Public Radio. During his tenure, he's helped lead the station through major programming changes and the COVID-19 pandemic, while maintaining the station's financial health. From 2010-2018 he served as the station's Director of Program Content. In that role, he also served as the host of Valley Edition, and helped launch and grow the station's award-winning local news department. He is a Fresno native and a graduate of California State University, Fresno.
