Marshall Gentry, retired Air Force Bandsman, will give a presentation titled “Larry Young, the Coltrane of the Organ”, the influence of organist Larry Young’s modal approach and his reframing of the jazz organ genre. Marshall will be joined by guitarist, Mike Dana, drummer, Gary Newmark, trumpet player, Max Hembd and saxophonist, Otto Lee.
