In a surprise move, Fresno Board of Supervisors Chair Garry Bredefeld said the county would not appeal the ruling.

The board’s conservative majority voted to delay placing the last-ditch effort to extend Fresno County’s critical transportation tax measure on the ballot until a study gets completed — a decision that will likely prevent the Better Roads measure from appearing on ballots before Measure C expires in 2027.
