These workshops are designed to help participants learn that falls and the fear of falling can be controllable. Participants will learn to set realistic goals for increasing activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk and promote exercise to increase strength and balance.

This year’s Bully Walk will be an easy and enjoyable 1-mile stroll through Woodward Park, along a path that is nearly 90% shaded with plenty of water features. There will be lots of doggy dip and water stations along the way, so your pups can stay cool and comfortable while you walk together. Once the walk is done, the fun is just getting started! Head back to the event area and enjoy over 40 vendors, raffles, photo booths, delicious eats from a taco truck, snacks, refreshing drinks, and the always-popular Costume Contest.

Guests from the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission will speak to seniors ages 60 and older on how to use their smartphones, computers and tablets. These one-hour workshops will also provide an opportunity to learn how to identify spam calls, send text messages and make important calls using the cell phone.
Brynn Saito is the author of three poetry collections, including Under a Future Sky (Red Hen Press, 2023). She co-edited with Brandon Shimoda The Gate of Memory: Poems by Descendants of Nikkei Wartime Incarceration (Haymarket Books, 2025) and her work has appeared in the New York Times, VOGUE, and American Poetry Review. Brynn teaches in the English department at Fresno State. The evening will also feature live music with Scats on the Sly, so bring your dinner, lawn chair or blanket.

Jason Feddy was born and raised in Leeds, 30 miles north of Joe Cocker’s hometown of Sheffield. He has worked as a singer/songwriter and guitarist ever since his school days. His career has seen him open for Neil Young, Tears For Fears, The Cranberries, John Martyn, Ben Folds Five, Kenny Loggins, David Gray, Christie Moore and yes, Joe Cocker himself.
