Lawyers for British political commentator being held in Kern County ICE facility challenge his detention

Sami Hamdi was detained Sunday by ICE officers at San Francisco International Airport, according to federal officials. He was booked into the Golden State Annex ICE facility in the city of McFarland.

The Madre Fire has caused evacuations in three counties, including San Luis Obispo, Kern and Santa Barbara.
