Valley Edition - January 29, 2019 - Law Enforcement Suicide, Citizenship Classes, WIIN Act

This week on Valley Edition: We hear from the widow of a police officer who took his life last year. Now, she’s telling his story to bring attention to a leading cause of death among law enforcement.

Plus: We talk to a grandmother and a grandson - she’s 83, he’s 19 - about their takes on life, love and aging. They're part of our new occasional series, Over 80, Under 20.

We also visit a citizenship class for refugees and find out why some people who have lived here for years are finally getting sworn in. And later, we get a local perspective on the military transgender ban from a 91-year-old woman who was discharged from the Air Force decades ago because of her sexual orientation.

Listen to that and more in the podcast above.
