A seventh suspect was arrested in relation to the mass shooting at a Southeast Fresno house party in November that left four dead and six wounded.
Ger Lee of Fresno is being held in Minnesota pending an extradition hearing.
In a press release Thursday, the Fresno County District Attorney’s office announced that Lee, along with Anthony Montes, Porge Kue, and Billy Xiong are being charged with four counts of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and 12 counts of attempted murder. Arraignment hearings for Montes, Kue and Xiong are scheduled for later today at the Fresno County Superior Court.
Three other suspects are also being charged with allegations of conspiring to commit murder.
In a press conference Tuesday, Fresno Police said that the suspects are members of a gang known as the Mongolian Boys Society. The mass shooting was in retaliation for a murder that took place earlier that day. However, police said, none of the victims of the mass shooting had gang affiliations.
The shooting itself happened on November 17 at a home on the 5300 block of East Lamona Avenue near Caesar Avenue. Nearly 40 people were gathered to watch a Sunday night football game.
Police say two of the suspects snuck into the backyard and opened fire. The deceased victims were international singer Xy Lee, 23; Phia Yang, 31; Kou Xiong, 38 and Kalaxang Thao, 40. All were of Hmong descent, and the incident rocked Fresno's Southeast Asian community, one of the largest in the nation.
Immediately following the attack, Fresno Police announced the formation of an "Asian Gang Task Force," which Police Chief Andy Hall says assisted in the investigation leading to the six arrests.
