This ride and walk will be led by experienced trail guides. Safety for people and animals will be a priority. At multiple stops the guide will explain the history of the area including native people, farming and ranching, river diversions, and native plant and animal habitat. Information about current management and the need for conservation will be discussed. Guests should bring their own gentle, well-trained horses or mules (please no dogs), and tack. Water for guests and animals will be provided at the venue. Walkers should have appropriate shoes and long pants. Photography is encouraged.
