The hills are alive with the sound of — new music

(SOUNDBITE OF FILM, "THE SOUND OF MUSIC")

JULIE ANDREWS: (As Maria) Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.

SARAH MCCAMMON, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Sarah McCammon. The hills are alive with the sound of new music. Nearly 60 years after the release of the film "The Sound Of Music," Craft Records has announced a new edition of its iconic soundtrack. The Super Deluxe album will feature a few of my favorite things, including the original songs, remastered instrumental versions and 11 unreleased takes from the original cast.

(SOUNDBITE OF RICHARD RODGERS SONG, "MY FAVORITE THINGS")
