The GrassKickers is a local quartet who play traditional and contemporary bluegrass on banjo, mandolin, guitar and bass. They traditionally start the Bluegrass in the Park concert season...free summer concerts in the park. The event is sponsored by the California Bluegrass Association in collaboration with the Clovis Veteran's Memorial Park District. The audience is encouraged to bring a picnic dinner, a blanket and or folding chairs, and find a spot under the trees. Musicians are only paid through audience tips.
