The Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla is one of 10 prisons in the state that gives incarcerated people the chance to connect to the natural world through the Insight Garden Program. To learn more, Valley Edition host Kathleen Schock spoke with program volunteer Katerina Friesen and former inmate Michele Scott who lobbied to bring the program to Chowchilla.
