Writer Nicholas Belardes On Confederate Imagery In Bakersfield

Conversations are taking place all over the country about the removal of Confederate statues and names, even in the military where 10 Army bases are named after Confederate officers. Author Nicholas Belardes recently wrote about growing up in Bakersfield and going to a high school steeped in Confederate symbolism.
