Valley Public Radio is closely monitoring the Coronavirus situation in all valley counties. Check this page for updates on station events and activities.

Update 3/16/2020: On behalf of everyone at Valley Public Radio, we regret to inform you that we have decided to postpone our upcoming 36th annual wine tasting and silent auction, scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd. The unfolding coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has significantly affected the events industry. Your safety is our utmost concern during this time. This annual fundraiser will be postponed to a date later in the fall. We are monitoring the ever-changing issues and will be in contact with you by the end of the week to announce the new date in which we plan to hold the event.

Update 3/13/2020:
Due to efforts to protect the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and the community, Valley Public Radio is taking the following actions:

Non-broadcast employees work from home
Our broadcast center is now closed to all visitors, tours, guests, and outside meetings
The remaining performance dates for Young Artists Spotlight spring season are canceled
The station is reviewing plans for the wine tasting event scheduled for May 3, 2020 and will make an announcement with further details about that event on Monday March 16th.

Update 3/11/2020:
Out of an abundance of caution, the previously scheduled StoryCorps listening event scheduled for March 19th at Bitwise South Stadium in Fresno has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a date later in the year.

Other station events including the station's upcoming membership drive and Valley Public Radio's Wine Tasting on Sunday May 3, 2020 are still on schedule at this time. We are closely monitoring the situation regarding Coronavirus and will provide future updates on this page.
