Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders To Hold Town Halls In Bakersfield, Fresno

Sep 30, 2019

Update: On Wednesday, October 2, Bernie Sanders' campaign cancelled his visits to the Central Valley due to health concerns.

Presidential candidate and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders will be in the Central Valley later this week for two town hall events. He's scheduled to appear at California State University, Bakersfield at 4 p.m. Thursday, and then hold another town hall at Fresno City College’s Veterans Peace Memorial Lawn at 7:30 p.m. the same day.

Sanders will be the third candidate to come through Fresno during this campaign cycle, and the second to hold a town hall in Fresno. Julián Castro visited in May, and Pete Buttigieg held a town hall in June. Sanders last visited Fresno and Bakersfield during his presidential run in 2016.
