Dolores Huerta, the labor leader and civil rights activist who co-founded the United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez, turns 90 today. Her decades of work as a community organizer and civil rights advocate have been recognized with numerous awards. In 2012 President Obama gave her the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She has honorary degrees from Princeton, Mills and the University of the Pacific. She even has an asteroid named in her honor. FM 89's Kathleen Schock interviewed Huerta about her life, legacy and vision for the future.

Kathleen Schock is the host of Valley Edition. In the show, Kathleen and the Valley Public Radio news team explore issues that matter to the residents of Central California through engaging conversations and in-depth reporting.
