Federal immigration officers have shot and wounded a suspected gang member in central California while trying to arrest him. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says the incident happened Tuesday in Stanislaus County.

The Trump administration will start sending more water to California farmers in the state's crop-rich Central Valley. The move comes out of an executive order Trump signed in January. California officials and environmentalists are pushing back on the plan.

The demolition near the California-Oregon border is part of a national movement to let rivers return to their natural flow to restore ecosystems for fish and other wildlife.
