Though The 2020 Season Is Postponed, Fresno's New Wrinkles Gets 'Unplugged' Online

In years past, the last weekend in May would have kicked off the New Wrinkles' performances, but this year, the group has postponed their show and moved to singing online instead.

Normally, a group of singing, dancing senior citizens would be taking the stage at Fresno City College starting this month. But the group dubbed “New Wrinkles” has postponed its 2020 season, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, the group is staying connected and performing solo on Youtube, in a series called, “New Wrinkles Unplugged.”

Darrel Yates, a retired educator and writer of the New Wrinkles Show, spoke about how the performers have stayed in touch, and continue to sing and dance through the pandemic.

Listen to the audio postcard to hear more from Yates, and a taste of New Wrinkles in performance.
