Valley Public Radio

The GOP-backed health care law that’s currently in the U.S. House of Representatives is one of the biggest topics of national debate. But what would the American Health Care Act mean for people here in the San Joaquin Valley? Over the next few weeks on our program we will hear a variety of perspectives on the proposed law, from both supporters and opponents. Valley Public Radio is also hosting a special public forum on the topic Thursday March 23rd as part of our new series Be Public Live, featuring perspectives from local health care leaders. On this week's show we ask  Anthony Wright, Executive Director of the Sacramento-based group Health Access for his thoughts on the House bill.

Joe Moore is the President and General Manager of KVPR / Valley Public Radio. He has led the station through major programming changes, the launch of KVPR Classical and the COVID-19 pandemic.
