Valley Edition: May 24 - Quay Valley; Measure C; Alex Ott For Fresno County Supervisor; Commuters

This week on Valley Edition KVPR's Ezra David Romero reports from Kings County where a Southern California developer would like to build a high-tech city. FM89's Kerry Klein takes a look at Measure C and how the proposed bond may affect community colleges. Later in the program we hear from Alex Ott who would like to be Fresno County's newest addition to the Board of Supervisors. Ending the program VE Host Joe Moore leads a conversation about transportation and commuters. He is joined by KVPR Reporter Jeffrey Hess, Lee Ann Eager with the Fresno County EDC, and Elizabeth Jonasson with the California High Speed Rail Authority. 

Joe Moore is the President and General Manager of KVPR / Valley Public Radio. He has led the station through major programming changes, the launch of KVPR Classical and the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership the station was named California Non-Profit of the Year by Senator Melissa Hurtado (2019), and won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting (2022).
