This week on Valley Edition FM89's Ezra David Romero reports that a popular energy drinkwill soon be off the shelves of one of the largest grocery store chain in the state, Save Mart. Fresno Bee Reporter John Ellis also joins the program to chat about California politics. Later in the program VE Host Joe Moore speaks with Tim Johnson with the Rice Association. Johnson is part of the group "Stop the Water Grab" and joins the program to talk about a ballot measure his group opposes that would take money from high speed rail and direct it to the construction of new dams.  Ending the show Fresno Hmong-American Poet Mai Der Vangtalks about receiving the prestigious Walt Whitman Award. 

Joe Moore is the President and General Manager of KVPR / Valley Public Radio. He has led the station through major programming changes, the launch of KVPR Classical and the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership the station was named California Non-Profit of the Year by Senator Melissa Hurtado (2019), and won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting (2022).
