Valley Public Radio
/
Ezra David Romero

This week on Valley Edition Mark Keppler, the executive director of the Maddy Institute, talks about the state of trails in the region. Also on the program Daniel Swain, with Stanford's Woods Institute for the Environment, talks about a new study examining the link between drought and global warming released last week. It predicts that by the year 2040 all of California’s droughts will be so-called “hot droughts” thanks to rising global temperatures associated with climate change.

Later, VE Host Joe Moore introduces Jeffrey Hess, KVPR's newest reporter. Hess joins the station from Jackson, Mississippi where he covered government and politics.

Ending the program we speak with Fresno Poet David Campos about his award-winning poetry collection "Furious Dusk."
