Valley Edition: January 13 - Free Community College; Fresno County Sheriff; High Speed Rail

This week on Valley Edition we delve into the topic of free community college with College of the Sequoias' President Stan Carrizosa and Reedley College's President Sandra Caldwell.

Also on the program we speak with Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims about crime in the region in 2014 and talk about the future of the department.

Ending the program, we're joined by Josh Stephens with the California Planning Development Report to talk about histake on California High Speed Rail. 

Joe Moore is the President and General Manager of KVPR / Valley Public Radio. He has led the station through major programming changes, the launch of KVPR Classical and the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership the station was named California Non-Profit of the Year by Senator Melissa Hurtado (2019), and won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting (2022).
