This week on Valley Edition KVPR's Jeffrey Hess reports onanimal control in Fresno County. Later, Host Joe Moore is joined by Bill McEwen of The Fresno Bee to talk about schools and politics in Fresno. 

Also, Reporter Jeffrey Hess interviews Jennifer Jones with the US Forest Service about a new air tanker used to fight fires in California. We are also joined by Teresa Flores to talk about the Digital Mural Mapping Project

We end the program with a segment on a Summer Soiree happening in Fresno August 14 and 15 at the Fresno Art Museum. There will be a collaborative performance by NOCO and the Fresno Philharmonic in the museum's lobby gallery. We are joined in studio by NOCO's Amy Querin and the Fresno Philharmonic's Executive Director Stephen Wilson. 

 

Joe Moore is the President and General Manager of KVPR / Valley Public Radio. He has led the station through major programming changes, the launch of KVPR Classical and the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership the station was named California Non-Profit of the Year by Senator Melissa Hurtado (2019), and won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for investigative reporting (2022).
