Political Science Professors On Kern County Candidates And Cannabis

In Kern County, today's election is historic: Not just because of the four marijuana-related measures on the ballot, but also because it marks the first time some residents will vote for a County Supervisor since the county was forced to redraw its districts.

To hear more about candidates and cannabis, we spoke with two political science professors at CSU Bakersfield: Dirk Horn, who explains the cannabis measures on the ballot, and Dr. Mark Martinez, about why the board of supervisor race is different than past elections following a court decision that forced the county to redistrict.
