On April 13th 1997, Jocelyn Dettloff’s life changed forever. On a camping trip in Sub-Saharan Africa, an accident left her paralyzed. It also put her life on a new path, inspiring others, as she describes in her book “It Rained in the Desert: One Woman's Story of Spirit and Resilience”
She’ll be the keynote speaker for Resources for Independence Central Valley at their 42nd Annual Recognition Dinner this Friday August 17th, 2018 at Pardini’s in Fresno. The valley non-profit encourage people with disabilities to be in control of their lives and to live more independently. She joined us on Valley Edition to talk about her life’s journey, her book and what the general public can do to be more inclusive for people with disabilities.
