The Corrine Fire has now grown to 1,000 acres is just 5 percent contained. Three outbuildings have been destroyed. Evacuations are in order for residents south of Corrin Road to Kerckoff Lake, and an advisory evacuation for residents of the community of Cascadel. Road 222 from Road 200 to Kerckhoff.

Evacuation orders are now in place for residents south of Corrine Road to Kerckoff Lake. The evacuation center has been established at Sierra Presbyterian Church, 39696 Highway 41 in Oakhurst. Cal Fire issued the following statement Friday afternoon about the fire:
Fire burning at a moderate rate of spread. There continues to be a threat to the North Fork community. Access to the fire is difficult due to steep terrain. Firefighters are experiencing extreme fire behavior conditions due to drought and low fuel moisture.
Road closures are in effect on Road 222 from Road 200 to Kerckhoff, and Road 225 between Road 235 and 233
The fire area remains at around 500 acres and is 10 percent contained.

A second 500-acre fire is burning in the Sierra Nevada near North Fork.
Called the “Corrine Fire”, the blaze is burning near Road 222 and Tunoi Place, north of Auberry in Madera, County.
As of Friday morning , Cal Fire says the fire has burned over 500 acres and is currently 20% contained.
The fire began Thursday night. Evacuations are being ordered on Ciatana Creek Road.
