They have been caused by power interruptions at the transmitter site. We are currently working on a project to purchase and install a backup generator system to keep the station on the air during such events. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we deal with this issue and work to improve our service to Kern County.  Update 9:00 a.m 8/25/12 KPRX is back on-air after an early morning outage.
